Bike enthusiasts in the Houston area have several choices for Bike Barn locations. This local chain serves the Houston area with seven stores, but you won’t find Bike Barns outside of Houston. These stores regularly host bike rides as well as offer assistance with finding and fitting you with the perfect bike, done at the Custom Fit Store in the Westlayan location. Bike Barn’s appointment-only Custom Fit Store uses the fitting system from the Serotta International Cycling Institute, which ensures that you get a perfect fit for your bicycle.

The staff will answer all of your questions and help you find the exact gear and type of bike you want. As at other specialty bike shops, bike fitting is available here. This store stocks bikes that include kids’ bikes, cyclocross, mountain, hybrid, road, comfort and commuter bikes. If you prefer to custom build your bike, you can get frames, wheels and other bike parts here, too.

Daniel Boone Cycles has been serving Houston’s cyclists since 1968, making it the oldest bicycle store in town, and the Houston Bicycle Museum owes its existence to Daniel Boone Cycles, which is one of the founding sponsors. If you are looking to save money on a bike, consider getting a used one from Daniel Boone Cycles, which is one of the few bike shops in town to offer used bicycles. This store also sells new bikes from most of the popular brands, and the salespeople can order a specific bike if you don’t see it in the shop.

This store sells standard road and mountain bikes, but it also stocks town bikes, commuter bikes, fixies and many other specialty bicycles. This is the place to shop for an unusual bike that will be unlike anything other cyclists are riding around town.
