Daniel Boone Cycles has been serving Houston’s cyclists since 1968, making it the oldest bicycle store in town, and the Houston Bicycle Museum owes its existence to Daniel Boone Cycles, which is one of the founding sponsors. If you are looking to save money on a bike, consider getting a used one from Daniel Boone Cycles, which is one of the few bike shops in town to offer used bicycles. If your bicycle tastes run to an eclectic mixture of designs beyond the normal road and mountain bikes, check out the quirky experts at Blue Line Bike Laboratory, housed inside of a former grocery store in the Heights. This store sells standard road and mountain bikes, but it also stocks town bikes, commuter bikes, fixies and many other specialty bicycles. Some of the brands carried at Blue Line Bike Laboratory include Scott, Electra, Redline, Jamis and Kona. This is the place to shop for an unusual bike that will be unlike anything other cyclists are riding around town.
